Was delighted to see macarons on the dessert table. These were dainty ones and they were just heavenly after dinner. Sometimes I wonder why this fascination of something sweet after a savoury meal. Does one's taste bud always have to be on a sweet note? Malaysians were taking way too much sugar and the government has to remind us to cut down for health reasons. I do believe we all have failed ....
Does coffee taste better with sugar? Definitely yes. Birthdays have to be celebrated with cakes and that should be on a sweet note ...hmmm...maybe savoury cakes/diabetic cakes for senior citizens' birthdays? We just can't kill the birthday boy/girl, do we? Sago pudding has to go with a thick dose of gula melaka. Walk down the supermarket aisle and one will see sugar in many forms - rock sugar, palm sugar, brown sugar, white ones, icing sugar .....
I am just wondering, why would lovers call each other honey and not sugar? They say, if its pure honey, ants would not come by....are they trying to say SOMETHING?
Like honey in the rock
sweet honey in the rock
for He (God) taste like honey in the rock
O taste and see
that the Lord is good
for He (God) taste like honey in the rock
