Neighbour named his pup 'kohing'. Whatever that means in Myanmarese language is beyond me. This pup only understands Myanmarese commands. Hub and I use English on our dogs. My mom will speak in Cantonese. And I was just thinking .... if I am to send my dog to stay with mom for a week or two, will my dog be able to understand her?
I come to conclusion that dogs (and I am sure cats or other animals) can be trained in any language - well, dogs (and I am sure cats or other animals) are all over the world, so they gotta understand the local dialect/language to earn their keep. The bible says that humans were talking in one language long ago and after the Tower of Babel incident, they just could not understand each other. Is that where the word 'babbling' comes from? Does all dogs have their own language - a God given one and not from man? That no matter from which part of the world a dog comes from, it should be able to communicate with one from another part of the world.
I do think I am babbling here myself .....it's Saturday and I am turning crazy .....
