Christmas Eve 2011



After 3 rounds of turkey and heavy feasting, I want a light meal for Christmas eve.  Could not resist buying pack of udon selling at RM2.00.  The noodle - 200gram - is for one person.  Decided to add green peas as I wanted to clear space in the freezer compartment.  Made a stock and drop all in - fast and simple meal to celebrate my Christmas eve.  Merry Christmas, Japan!.

Ingredients
Radish - 1 piece
Fish stock
Shiitake mushrooms
Green peas-frozen
Udon

Boil radish in a pot of water for an hour.  Add fish stock.  Drop in fresh mushrooms and green peas.  When mushrooms and peas turn soft, remove and set aside.   Put in udon and swirl a while approximately 3 minutes.  Dish to serving bowl and top with mushrooms and peas.
