The Chinese saying 'yau ching yam sui pau' translated in English 'when there's love, hunger can be satisfied with water' comes to mind.
Told hub to pack the nice nasi lemak in Damansara downtown. I was about to throw away the pack when upon a closer look, the ventilating holes were heart shaped. Voila! Hub made my day! Remembered the time of dating days when he would buy flowers and I asked him to get plastic ones - they last longer. LOL. In our years of marriage, Christmas gifts between us have always been practical gifts eg. oven, clothing, shoes etc that both of us know would not be left sitting on the shelf.
Love causes you to do silly things - giving up of yourself for the better of another. Yet there must still be a part of you remains-your identity. We are still learning to celebrate the difference....
