I was at the fresh market today. Managed to get two big fish from the fishmonger. It was a good feeling - many times I came to the stall and was told 'sold out'. These Chinese carps sell for RM10.00 per piece (upper torso only) and its cut to half from head to tail. Restaurants here charge about RM20++. Attempted wrapping Chinese dumplings and in my entire life, I would say this is the second or third try. It is so amazing that a humble and simple bamboo can be of use in so many ways. I recalled hanging linens on a long thick bamboo pole in childhood and oh boy, was it heavy. Fear that I would drop it and all linens soiled ........
News from afar - rare earthquake in Melbourne and typhoon hitting Japan are disturbing. Relief came when you know your loved ones are not affected and yet, someone out there is a victim. It is like a dice in a game and you just hope it does not fall into your lot. The frailty of life.
Life has settled down to some peace since the insurance adjuster called. Hit a monkey on the highway and car was badly damaged. Insurance adjuster said our report is consistent (meaning no foul play) and claim would be processed. We were asked questions on car design before the accident to which we cannot answer. Who would remember in detail about the car design unless every inch is captured through a photograph. Pictures in the internet on zooming becomes blur to view. Learning from this experience, I will be shooting my other good car and keep a photographic record.
Friday is coming.
It has been a good week thus far by the grace of God.
