Straight from the pot or I would say, from the wok. I hardly put my cooked meals onto plates nowadays. What's the point? Serving food in the cooking pot saves - less washing amounts to less water wastage and less detergent. Go green. Corningware extols the virtue of pot from refrigerator to the dining table. Thus, my way of living is nothing new under the sun.
Since my wok has a rounded bottom, I foil a old cookie tin to allow my wok to sit comfortably at my dining table. I experimented placing tea lights into the foiled tin to keep food warm but somehow it doesn't work (lack of oxygen kills the flame). Another common way of dining straight from the pot would be the steamboat, a common Chinese cuisine. Others that came to mind would be the claypot chicken rice and paella.
All being said, I would admit that I am just pure lazy ....
