Give me a papaya tree ......

Few friends down with dengue - hmmmm.....the nasty mozzies!  In Singapore, cases of infection were reported.  Seems that the virus strain is different now from few years back.  Have they morphed to become super killer mozzies?  Someone posted a DIY mozzie repelling method - get a lime, cut to half and stick cloves into it and leave them around the house.  That reminds me of the orange pomander with cloves and  left to dry.   Perhaps the grandmas of old had already arrived at the answer?
.
Vietnamese would pound 2 papaya leaves and squeeze for the juice.  In my last bout with dengue, I took the lazy route - no pounding on the mortar but happily throwing all into the blender machine.  When one is sick, one just can't be bothered to do laborious work.  Anyway, my platelet went higher after the dose of papaya juice.  Told the doctor of what I did and he exclaimed, 'that really works?'  There is no known cure for dengue.  When one is in that poverty state, there is no harm giving this grandma's cure a chance .......

Kudos to Singapore for launching the Do The Mozzie Wipeout!
