I really love the look of this blue pea flower famously known as bunga telang.
Nyonyas will extract the coloring and make their special kuih made of glutinous rice. I used to eat the kuih and have them smothered with a generous dollop of kaya. Oh boy! that would be the highlight of my day . Hmmm....at point of writing this, I am rather hungry for just a bite of the delicious snack.

Being a creeper, I had bundled few long branches (which I had sawn off from a 'chin chai' tree - Cantonese named by me as I had earlier planted to provide shade but does not know the specific name) together and tied them to the flower pot. Really happy with the results..
I dried the flowers and kept them in the fridge for future use in my enzyme making. The flower extract is so deep blue in color......must be highly anti-oxidant......I have drank my blue pea flower enzyme and lived to write this article!
